The technique of the “Learning Quest” Approach is unfamiliar to people in Bulgaria. Several of its elements have been used during the educational process, but never the overall concept of the approach, which is actually being used for the first time in our country. Those who were working out the details concerning the concept of Learning Quest “Perperikon” all were experts from this region: an expert from The Regional Museum of History in Kardzhali, teachers in History, Geography and Information Technology. Together they developed a concept for a mixed approach of web and physical resources.

At the crossroads between physical and virtual data!

The final decision was in conformity with the present available data about Perperikon and the history of the region. Mostly, this data is stored in books, research papers and articles. Web-based data is available but on a smaller scale. This approach seemed the best for the Perperikon Learing Quest also because of the little experience of the pupils in Kardzhali regarding internet and new media research. Besides, this approach provided an opportunity for the pupils to develop their computer skills as well.
